More plants that can thrive with an 'early' planting

Even though the NE has seen a mild winter so far, many of the heat-loving plants we love to grow are just not going to do well before Groundhog Day. But, fear not! If they demand more sun before they sprout, you can always try again tomorrow. And tomorrow. And tomorrow. Yeah, okay you get the point.

But there are more summer treasures that can be started before Punxsutawney Phil makes his appearance! Most peppers grown in the Northern regions will grow just fine with the diminished light of late-winter.

I present to you . . . 1-week-old Cali Wonder sweet bell peppers!

Of course, most all 'hot' peppers will mature before these Bells. So now we begin planting Poblanos,Cayenne, Habaneros, and of course, a local favorite, early Jalapenos!
